The Craptastics

I have a blister on my heel.

I have bestowed on Althea the power to post on this blog, but as her response to this generous endowment was “bleh” I don’t think we’ll be seeing posts from my wife-to-be anytime soon.

Yesterday I went into the city to figure out some room arrangements for the reception, renew some books, and apply for a VISA to teach in Korea. Thea joined me for the final task and after much TTC and walking in the rain we arrived at the Korean Consulate wet and grumpy. I had already downloaded and filled out the application forms so all we had to do was hand in our information and passports, pay, and get out of there.

But apparently they only take cash.

“Debit?”

“No.”

“Credit card?”

“No.”

“Only cash? That’s it?”

“Yes.”

“Welcome to the 21st Century. Are you sure it’s only cash or do you barter in any domestic fowl?”

Very aggravating. Would have been much more tolerable on a sunny day.

I dont remember that part of it…i liked the little house though, it was cute, with nice little flowers and gardens. the outside was nice, the inside was a little sub par.

Is this Dan? Why are you calling yourself caesar?

Shoot. I should have warned you. I did the exact same thing, and had to walk what seemed like miles before finding an ATM. You would think that a consulate for an Asian country would be more up-to-date with their…electronic gadgets.

This moment of mild racism has been brought to you by Sarah.

Or post a sign that said Cash Only so you don’t wait in line before finding out.
